One of the most important considerations when choosing a student model is the headjoint - how easy will it be to produce a sound? The size of the embouchure hole significantly affects air flow, so here we have models that will positively assist those just starting.
There are also models with additional curved heads for very young students who may struggle to reach the end of the flute. All these student flutes feature the ‘split E’ mechanism, favoured by most teachers.
