Any condensor microphone requires power (either phantom or battery) and, for those who are recording vocals or guitar into a computer, an expensive 'audio capture' device will also be required.
The AT2020usb studio mic does away with all of the above as, this cardioid condensor model both draws power from your laptop PC or MAC as well as connecting directly to your computer with its supplied USB cable.
Extremely convenient, the AT2020usb is great for capturing vocals/guitar in a home computer studio environment, or is handy out in the field with a laptop.
With an extended frequency response, the AT2020usb is supplied with a tripod stand, 3m USB lead and protective pouch.
Note that this model is dedicated to computer recording work, and has no XLR socket for other mic cables, so is therefore not suitable for usual live performance work.
