Zoom R8 digital recording studio

Zoom's low cost yet great value portable digital studio, the R8 is an 8-channel configuration and records two channels simultaneously, is extraordinarily flexible and great for those bands or solo composers on a small budget!

Whilst some may shy away from digital studios for being far too sophisticated to reach results quickly, Zoom's R8 has an emphasis on quick and easy recording, rather than setting up and fussing around!

Those R & D guys at Zoom have come up with a flexible model however with the R8, which sees sampling built-in (samples playable from pads), as well as the unit being able to control your favourite DAW software.

Whilst recording is direct to the supplied 2Gb SD card (up to 32Gb SDHC cards supported), the supplied card has a collection of 500Mb of drum loops for you to trigger from the R8's pads. No drummer turing up to record? Don't worry, as the R8 has a built-in drum machine (programmable), or use the 472 built-in patterns with fills, intros and endings.

The R8 has over 140 high quality DSP effects to right across the board (which includes 18 guitar amp models) and, if you have a recording session and forget your microphones(!), the R8 even covers this situation, courtesy of built-in stereo mics.

With a myriad of inputs and outputs (including USB 2.0), the R8 is suitable for just about any solo instrumentalist or small band, and even extends to a metronome and built-in tuner for guitar/bassists and acoustic players to tune to.

Brilliant throughout, and great value, especially as it is supplied with a version of Cubase Le software studio.
