We Think

The Yamaha NU1x 'AvantGrand' piano is a hybrid design with digital sound and a real hammer action, taking both digital piano AND acoustic piano designs and technologies and fusing them to create a practical piano model.

From the outside, the NU1 looks as traditional as possible from the soft-fall lid through to the upright design with stabilizing legs .

However, using cutting edge CFX sampling technology, the sound and piano playing experience is as natural as you can imagine, helped by the fact that the key action is superbly weighted and features acrylic resin keytops (white keys only). The NU1x delivers an authentic playing experience that is almost indistinguishable from that of an acoustic piano. With the same action and natural wood keys as used in Yamaha’s finest upright pianos, the NU1X offers a realistic feel that is sure to inspire.

The amazingly authentic sound has been carefully sampled from one of the finest instruments that Yamaha has ever made—the CFX full concert grand piano. To complement its sparkling highs and full-bodied bass, the NU1x utilizes newly-developed acoustic technology unique to Yamaha to reproduce the characteristic resonance felt when playing an acoustic piano.

With just fifteen beautiful premium sounds onboard (including a selection of Bosendorfer and Yamaha concert grands, electrics, harpsichords, organs etc), Yamaha have opted for sheer quality rather than quantity and, with 256-note polyphony, a splash of reverb and USB audio recorder built-in, this stunning model is made for performance!

Bluetooth compatible and, with a sophisticated amplification and speaker system (rated at 45-watts per channel), the NU-1x has dual headphone sockets for those who wish to play or practice in silence.
